Nurses in Cyprus

On November 10th we left for Paphos, Cyprus. 

Since there were no direct flights from Bari, we took a bus from Bitonto which took us to Naples from where we took the plane to Paphos. We arrived in Cyprus at midnight (local time ) where the driver of the minibus who was supposed to take us to the hotel was waiting for us. 

Once we arrived at the hotel we checked in and then went straight to sleep since we were really tired. The next day we went to the seaside, where we took a quick swim and returned to the hotel to have our first lunch together all together. Towards the late afternoon, together with the teachers, we went to visit the center of Paphos and it was really nice. 

On Monday, 13th we went to visit the workplaces, we nurses went to visit the clinic where we would work and met Andrei, who showed us the place and explained to us what we would have to do in the following days. From the next day we started working: we had to change the catheters, measure the blood pressure and oxygen and change the bed sheets. In 2 and a half weeks we learned new things which led us to expand our skills in this field. 

With the teachers we kept on visiting new spots, like the capital (Nicosia) which is divided into two parts: Greek and Turkish, so we can say we have also seen Turkey... 

We hope that this experience continues in the right direction and that upon our arrival back to Italy we may have learned many new things.
